Author Urges Catholics to Move Away From Religion and Toward God
Sadly, instead of leading people into a personal relationship with God, the Catholic Church has led them into an empty relationship with an institution. It has dazzled them with rituals and pageantry and taught them many false doctrines that not only have no basis in Scripture, they are in direct conflict with Scripture! Kenneth March uses the Bible to expose many of those deceptions and false teachings.
Rev. March, an ordained Christian minister, uses Bible Scriptures to support everything he says and invites readers to get out their own Bibles—whatever translation they may have—and look up any verses they may question. “The matters addressed in this book are of eternal importance, so please do not blindly accept anything that I or anyone else tells you to be the truth,” he explains. “Decide for yourself!”
Unless otherwise stated, all scripture verses are from the New Living Translation of the Bible (NLT) - used for its easy to understand English.
A Note to Catholics and Former Catholics from Author Kenneth March
"If you are a Catholic, or a former Catholic, this book was written especially for you. There are hundreds of millions of Catholics around the world who have known no other faith. Catholicism has been the religion of their mother and father, and of their mothers and fathers, perhaps for generations. You may have gone to Catholic school, and continue to call yourself Catholic, but you stopped going to mass a long time ago because the Church didn’t seem relevant to you and your daily life. Or you may be one of the pious faithful who continues to diligently seek God within the framework of the Catholic Church.
Whatever your situation, you have seen and heard things about the Catholic Church that have caused you discomfort. Things that have made you want to distance yourself from her. We have all heard about the shameful scandals involving thousands of priests around the world sexually abusing children. We have all heard the public jokes about priests and altar boys, and felt the sense of the shame these offenses have brought on the Catholic Church.
If you are Catholic, it is my sincere hope that this book will help you move away from a relationship with the institution known as “The Roman Catholic Church” and into a relationship with the living God who reveals himself to us in the Bible and who desires to have a personal relationship with each of us."
